Bilateral cultural relations
Bilateral cultural relations
In 1990, Germany and Singapore signed a bilateral cultural agreement. Both countries maintain intensive cultural exchange programmes on a commercial as well as on private levels.
The Goethe-Institut Singapore carries out cultural programmes and activities (e.g. exhibitions, films, performances, etc. as well as German language courses).
In addition, there are constantly expanding cooperations between renown German universities and Singaporean varsities. And example is the German Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), a cooperation between the Technical University of Munich and Singaporean universities.
