Translations for Singaporean authorities

If you need a translation for a Singaporean or German document, please refer to one of the acknowledged translators. You may find a list with translators on the right side of this website.

Übersetzung Enlarge image (© colourbox) After the translator has translated your document, the German Embassy needs to certify the translator’s signature. The certification is done on the spot during visiting hours. 

The fee is 25 €. The fees have to be paid when submitting the translated document. The fees will be converted into SGD according to the current exchange rate of the Embassy. You may pay in cash or with credit card (Visa, Master). If you pay with credit card, the transaction will be processed in EUR. Further bank fees may apply.

Please note: The German Embassy can only certify the signatures of the acknowledged translators on the list on the right side.

Translation of foreign documents for local authorities in Germany

If you need translations of Singaporean documents for submitting them to local authorities in Germany, the Embassy advices to consult and instruct a certified translator in Germany. The translators in Singapore are not certified! Please contact the local authority in Germany first to find out whether or not a translation of a non-verified translator will be accepted.

Translation of German Driver’s License

German driver’s licenses can be translated by the German Embassy. You have to submit the original document as well as a photocopy during visiting hours. Submitting the driver’s license by mail or email is not possible!

The translation can be collected after 2 - 3 days. You may also submit a franked and addressed envelop. Then the German Embassy can send you the translation via mail.
