State Visit of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Singapore, 2 - 3 November 2017

On the first ever state visit by a German Federal President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier came to Singapore from 2 -3 November 2017.  During his visit he held political talks with Singapore's President Halimah Jacob and with Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. He also exchanged views with representatives of the German Business community in Singapore. At the Singapore Management University he delivered a speech as part of the Ho Rih Hwa Leadership Lecture Series. On the occassion of his visit, a special honour was conferred to the German Federal President: A robust, free-flowering hybrid was named “Dendrobium Frank-Walter Steinmeier”.
