Climate Change Film Screening

In order to raise awareness on the issue of climate change and the importance of the international climate change negotiations in Paris from November 30 to December 11, 2015, the EU Delegation to Singapore, the British High Commission, and the embassies of Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Norway and Sweden were hosting a film screening of “The Salt of the Earth” by Wim Wenders & Juliano Ribeiro Salgado.

German-Singapore Jubilee Picnic and Concert in the Singapore Botanic Gardens

It certainly was great fun for all. With the haze almost gone on that day, Germans and Singaporeans alike flocked to the Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage in the Singapore Botanical Gardens to enjoy playing on the lawn and listening to fantastic music performances by the choir of the German-European School Singaore and the German singer Meta Hueper together with the NUS Jazz Band.

The Exhibition is on - 50 Years of German-Singaporean Diplomatic Relation

The official opening of the exhibition "50 Years of German-Singaporean Diplomatic Relation" took place at the Paragon Shopping Centre on 25th September 2015 with some speeches and a lovely performance by German singer Meta Hüper together with a two-piece band. The exhibition at the Paragon Shopping Centre is still on until 4th October 2015 and then moves on to the Toa Payoh Public Library from 6th to 25th October 2015. PLEASE NOTE: Many photos of the exhibition are displayed in the hall way of the German Embassy now!

Charity Event at the Residence of the German Ambassador

Armin Flossdorf, the world famous racing car artist, painted a Mercedes racing car in record time. Guests from all walks of life gathered together to watch Armin Flossdorf and talk with him while he was painting. The event’s highlight was the auction of the painting for the charity organisation SPD, formally known as Society for the Physically Disabled. The cheque was presented to SPD during the German-Singapore Jubilee Picnic and Concert at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
